Ghana Boxing Authority Presidential Hopeful Rabbon Dodoo Applauds Sharaf Mahama

Ghana Boxing Authority Presidential Aspirant Rabbon Dodoo has lauded CEO of Legacy Rise Sports; Sharaf Mahama for putting together a delectable night of boxing that caught global attention.

Rabbon, a former boxer who worked closely with late former president of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings, extolled the visionary traits of Sharaf Mahama, " I like the fact that he’s thinking out of the box, having the aim of elevating the sport to global levels through strategic connections and partnerships, that's the stuff geniuses are made of," he dilated.

The bill dubbed " Battle Of The Beasts' was beamed live on DAZN and Super Sport in collaboration with Amir Khan Boxing Promotions.

Prominent boxing personalities like Anthony Joshua, Azumah Nelson, Amir Khan, Denzel Bentley, Oliver Spencer alongside broadcaster Radio Rahim and business moguls Ibrahim Mahama and Osei Kwame Despite were among thousands of patrons who thronged the Bukom Boxing Arena to witness the explosive night of fisticuffs and fun.

Rabbon Dodoo expressed delight that the event proved an overture for national cohesion and economic catalysis. He was unhappy about unsavoury comments about the CEO of Legacy Rise and counselled that the young man deserved all the encouragement he could get and not the malicious rants.

Headlining the show was Andrew Tabiti and Jacob Dickson in a WBC Africa Bridgerweight championship and the co main event Daniel Gorsh Vs Theophilus Allotey in WBO Africa bantamweight thriller.

Haruna Mohammed failed to hold on to his national cruiserweight title, losing to Ahmed Abdallah.

Abdul Khan Vs Joseph Sackey, Jessie Lartey Vs Shiloh Defreitas, Jerry Lartey vs Anas Hafiane and Abu Kamoko Vs Stephen Ackon were equally exciting match ups. Ohara Davies returning with a win over Tanzanian slugger Aliseni was particularly impressive

According to co promoter Amir Khan, another major could happen in December probably at a bigger venue .

Meanwhile, Rabbon Dodoo, who has served various roles in different administrations at the Ghana Boxing Authority; as 2nd Vice President and Chairman of promotions under the Lawyer Peter Zwennes regime, Board Member and 1st Vice President in other regimes, is absolutely certain that he's the ' 'Chosen One' to bring Ghana Boxing to new heights, " Sharaf has brought a new dimension, and once I'm given the nod as GBA president we'll build upon that and take it a notch higher, " the calm and sagacity-enveloped gentleman remarked.
