Efe Ajagba and Joe Goodall Ready to Fist it Out on November 4

Efe Ajagba and Joe Goodall Ready to Fist it Out on November 4

Tahoe Blue Event Center, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Nevada, US

Nigerian heavyweight Efe Ajagba is set to take a giant leap towards a title opportunity as he faces upset-minded Australian Joe Goodall in the 10-round main event Saturday, Nov. 4 at Tahoe Blue Event Center in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Ajagba (18-1, 13 KOs), a 2016 Olympian, is one of the division’s fiercest punchers. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound slugger debuted in the paid ranks in July 2017 and notched six first-round knockouts in his first eight fights. He suffered his first defeat in October 2021 against Frank Sanchez. Following the loss, Ajagba had surgery on both his elbows and returned in August 2022 to stop Hungarian veteran Jozsef Darmos in the second round. The 29-year-old will make his third appearance of 2023, following a decision win over Stephan Shaw in January and a disqualification victory against Zhan Kossobutskiy in August. Goodall (10-1-1, 9 KOs), a 31-year-old Australia native, made his pro debut in 2018. He stopped five of his first six opponents before fighting to a majority draw against Christian Ndzie Tsoye in August 2018. He made his U.S. debut with a first-round knockout against Matt McKinney in March 2022. In his next fight, Goodall suffered a decision loss against unbeaten compatriot Justis Huni. He bounced back last September with a third-round drubbing over Arsene Fosso. In his last outing, he scored his most impressive victory yet, a sixth-round TKO against Stephan Shaw in July on a Top Rank on ESPN bill in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Fight will be live on ESPN+

Joe Cordina vs Edward Vazquez set Fight Clash for November 4th in Monte Carlo

Joe Cordina vs Edward Vazquez set Fight Clash for November 4th in Monte Carlo

Casino de Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo, Mónaco

Joe Cordina makes the first defence of his world title when he goes in with America's Edward Vazquez. The quality Texan has only suffered one pro defeat, and that came against the excellent Raymond Ford, but has he improved enough to upset Cordina? Cordina (16-0, 9 KO) battled through one of the nastier two-fight gauntlets you’ll see when he smoked Kenichi Ogawa for the belt and, after a lengthy stint on the sidelines thanks to a busted hand, reclaimed it by outclassing a game Shavkat Rakhimov. Vazquez (15-1, 3 KO) has some decent wins and very nearly upset Raymond Ford last year, but he’s also the IBF’s no. 10 featherweight, so it’s fair to call this a disappointing step down in class.

O’Shaquie Foster to Defend his Title for the First Time Against Eduardo “Rocky” Hernandez in a 12 rounds WBC junior lightweight title Fight

Cancun, Mexico

WBC world super featherweight champion O'Shaquie Foster will face a tough test as for the first time, he defends his world title belt when he travels to Mexico to face Eduardo Hernandez “Rocky”.  Foster as we know, is no stranger to facing Mexican opponents after beating Rey Vargas in February to land the vacant WBC 130lb title, and he will now look to do the same on October 28.  Hernandez however is a dangerous threat. He will be relishing the opportunity to challenge for a world title on home turf and comes into this fight on a ferocious run of form with six back-to-back knockout wins. Foster (20-2, 11 KO) spent three fights as “silver” champ before finally getting his shot at gold when Shakur Stevenson lost his titles on the scales. Foster cruised past previously featherweight champ Rey Vargas in February. Fight will be live on DAZN

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou Clash in a 10 Rounds Heavyweight Fight

Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou Clash in a 10 Rounds Heavyweight Fight

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Tyson Fury is ready to step into the ring for the first time in 2023 as he clashes with former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. This fight is a hugely anticipated match-up, and while Fury is the heavy favourite, the powerful Ngannou still has a puncher's chance. The highly anticipated 10-round showdown is a non-title fight, yet Fury claims there is more on the line for him now than in any of his previous battles. The self-proclaimed "Gypsy King", Tyson Fury, six-foot-nine heavyweight, who has a record of 33-0-1 (24 KOs), briefly became unified heavyweight champion in 2015, when he toppled longstanding holder Wladimir Klitschko. He was later stripped of two of those titles and vacated the three others during a period in which he suffered from mental health issues leading to alcoholism, recreational drug use and extreme weight gain. But he went on to compete in one of the great ever boxing trilogies, against American Deontay Wilder, winning the WBC title back in the second of those bouts. Cameroonian-French Ngannou reached similar heights in his UFC career, knocking out one of the greatest heavyweights in UFC history, Stipe Miocic, in 2021 to become the UFC's first-ever heavyweight champion from Africa. The 37-year-old was stripped of the title after leaving the UFC in January, having failed to agree terms on a new contract. He has not fought since he defeated Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision at UFC 270 in January 2022 and that win was Ngannou's sixth in a row, adding to his record of 17-3-0. Fight will be live on ESPN + and PPV.
